Remember that classic 80s track “Take On Me” by the Norwegian band a-ha? Well, it has become a popular song for a Lip Sync Battle. Recently 24-year-old Tyler Posey, star of MTV’s Teen Wolf, used the track for his Spike TV Lip Sync Battle performance.
Posey takes his best shot sporting the leather motorcycle jacket similar to the one in the original music video for “Take On Me.” He also tried to pull off some of the classic 80s dance moves in what is a pretty over-the-top performance of the a-ha track.
The Teen Wolf star isn’t the only one who brought “Take On Me” back for the purpose of lip syncing. Jimmy Fallon also performed a lip sync of the song on his late night show against Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Stephen Merchant, just before Spike TV adapted the segment into their own regular TV show.
So, it looks like a-ha’s “Take On Me” is just one of those 80s classics that will continue to transcend all generations thanks to it’s catchy hook and insane falsetto. We want to know who you think had the better Lip Sync of “Take On Me” and if either contestant did the song justice. Let us know what your thoughts are in the comments section below. Of course, we added the original version for a little Flashback Friday.
