It seems like the U.K. has really been cherishing all of the greatest acts of the 80s. Now, 80s magic is thriving once again as some of the hottest artists of the time come together for a really noble cause. The Children In Need fundraising concert from BBC will see acts such as Boy George.
The U.K. Gets Another Dose of 80s Magic
“Taking place ahead of the annual fundraising extravaganza, which usually airs mid-November, BBC Children In Need Rocks The 80s will celebrate the decade in which it all began for CIN, which kicked off 25 years ago,” according to Metro.
“The gig will feature performances of some of the most iconic hits of the era from artists including Bananarama, Boy George, Erasure, Europe, Imagination, Jason Donovan, Katrina from Katrina & The Waves, Louisa Johnson, Nick Heyward, OMD and UB40 Featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey”
The star-studded lineup is one that 80s fans across the world would die for. These are some of the most influential artists when it comes to the 80s music scene. Bananarama and Boy George alone have a plethora of hit tracks between them, not to mention the insane hits like “Red Red Wine.”
Fortunately for us, we’ll be able to see it on TV, however, a date and time are still to be determined. Stay tuned for more details on this project. Would you like to see a concert like this stateside? Let us know what your 80s magic concert lineup would be in the comments section below.
