A-Ha ‘Take On Me’ Obsession Lands Man in Jail

We love the 80s, heck, most of us will say we are obsessed with the decade. We would even go as far to say that A-Ha‘s “Take On Me” is one of the greatest tracks of the decade. However, we wouldn’t suggest blasting it in your neighborhood, or you may end up like this man who was jailed over loud music.

“A Victorian man has been jailed for refusing to turn down the volume on his high-powered stereo,” according to 9News, an Australian publication.

“Police were called to Alex Boros’ Corio home 34 times in just one year, with his music loud enough to shake the windows of neighbouring properties. Video showed a resident confronting Mr Boros as A-Ha hit Take On Me blares through the speaker.”

We know what you’re thinking, this is an absolutely hilarious situation. Unfortunately for Boros, it isn’t. Though, we do sympathize with his love for “Take On Me.” That classic chorus is unforgettable and who could forget the incredibly awesome music video that was lightyears ahead of its time.

It’s unfortunate that the track has been caught in the middle of this mishap, though if we were Boros’ neighbors, we can’t say we would have called the police. Perhaps rather than getting angry, we may have joined him for a dance off or some karaoke.
