The 80s is the perfect decade if you’re looking for inspiration for an amazing Halloween costume. For Halloween, The Today Show and Good Morning America revealed their costumes which leaned heavily on the 80s. Check out these 80s Halloween costumes.
“Over at ABC, the GMA gang gave viewers a tour of the ’80s biggest television stars, with Robin Roberts as Diahann Carroll’s Dominique Deveraux from Dynasty, Amy Robach as Katey Sagal’s Peg Bundy from Married… with Children, Lara Spencer as The Love Boat‘s Captain Merril Stubing — originally portrayed by Gavin MacLeod, Ginger Zee as a sewer-dwelling Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, George Stephanopoulos as the buttoned-up Alex P. Keaton — aka Michael J. Fox — from Family Ties, and Michael Strahan as none other than Mr. T — complete with a mohawk and gold chains,” according to People.
However, the costume we were most impressed with came from Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer, who not only made their way to the show in a DeLorean, but also dressed up as Doc and Marty McFly. These are two 80s heroes we expect to see every Halloween and are bound to be popular go-to costumes for any 80s fan.
When we think of all of the holidays that really allow us to celebrate the 80s, Halloween and Christmas are definitely up there. To check out more photos from Today and GMA’s 80s flashback, click here.
